ACFW: Awards Night and More Pictures!

I’m home, safe and sound. Aside from a possible broken toe, which I hurt when putting my shoes into the bin at Denver’s security check point. Very chick-litty, if you ask me. 🙂

Today’s tour post for The Familiar Stranger goes somewhere we’ve never gone before–to a man’s blog! Join Glynn Young for his interview and review. What does he think about the male point of view in the story?

On to pictures from the awards banquet. I was hoping the list of winners would have been sent out over the loop, but I’ll have to post that at a later date.

Mom and I waiting at the front of the line to be ticket takers. We loved volunteering for it on this night because we got to see everyone as they came through the line all dressed up.

A full-length shot, but it doesn’t show my awesome silver shoes!

The staff of the Marriot Tech hotel was wonderful. The chef surprised all of us by printing the ACFW logo on a sheet of white chocolate. Yummmmm …

Her daughter! 🙂
The night is a highlight of the conference. So many of the speeches truly gave glory to God and His gifting of talents to the finalists. More than ever before, it felt like a family of believers, sharpening each other’s abilities.

I really appreciated all the pictures you posted. It helped me to get a sense of the conference. You look lovely in that pink dress (and usually I’m not a big fan of pink!)

Sally, it’s the one time of year I get to, so I go ALL out. Nice to see so many others get all gussied up. 😀

Wendy, thank you! Means all the more because of your usual pink aversion. 😉

Jody, I’m glad we at least got those few minutes to chat at the workshop.

As with you, too, Jessica, I didn’t feel there was enough time to see all my friends!
