Name that Kitten!

We brought home a new addition to the family … as if five kids weren’t enough action for us.

Our friends own an animal hospital and called us about adopting some kittens that had been left on the doorstep. So we weren’t even looking for a pet, but not forty-eight hours after the first contact, we had a sweet, feisty boy in our house.

But what should we name him? You can imagine that everyone has a vested interest, so these are some of the suggestions so far:

Kaboodle — get it? Kittten Kaboodle

Charlie — so when he’s nipping, we can say, “Charlie bit me!”

Stripey — self-explanatory

Pinky — from the youngest member of the family because she likes pink things

Toots — so that everyone will love him immediately. This family loves to talk about toots and I always have to say, “No toots at the table,” so it seems to fitĀ  ;p

Starkiller — I nixxed this Star Wars name because I couldn’t imagine calling that from the doorway at night. “Starkiller! Here, killer, killer!”

But we’re leaning toward Casey. No idea where that name came from for the cat, but once Andrea said it, it felt like it fit.

So … what do you think? Is this spunky little thing a Casey?

Oh, yes. He is a Casey! What a fun addition to your family. Maybe I can bring Jack over and he can teach him pirate-y things!!

Oh so sweet. Congrats on the new kitty. I am itching for a puppy. I REALLY want one. Right now I’m in the planting and watering seeds mode. Hopefully they will sprout and grow in my husband soon.

    Casey is a great name!

Casey is such a thougthful little kitty, he wouldn’t even remark on Jack’s one missing eye. ;p

Tammy, just keep bringing him the newspaper in your mouth and licking his hand and eventually he’ll get the hint, right?
