It’s My Birthday! Wait…No, It’s Not!

In about an hour, my darling husband is whisking me off for an evening of fun! My 30th birthday is on the 30th of this month. A big deal, right? Unfortunately, my sweetie pie drew a deer tag for that week. Because of that, and the ACFW conference next week, we’re celebrating early.

I have no clue what we’re doing. Just that we’ll be meeting one of my oldest–as in longest friendship–friend and her husband. I’ve been pestering Kevin the last few days:

“I’m so glad you love me enough to take me to the ballet…and come in with me.”

Or, “I’ve been brushing up on my Lyle Lovett lyrics for the concert you’re taking me to.”

Or, “I hadn’t heard that New Kids on the Block were doing a reunion tour!”

All he does it laugh. He did tell me to dress up. I double checked this with Mom, as she knows where we’re going. One terrific birthday, he took me to the shooting range. It was awesome. I shot better than he did and I have the silhouette in the closet to prove it. Beginner’s luck!

I’ll post pictures, if I’m allowed to take pictures where we’re going, on Monday. After making 15 lunches this week, which happens to be my least favorite wifely/motherly duty, and working an average of 7 hours a day on writing, this night feels like a well-deserved vacation!

Sounds fantastic! What a wonderful gift…

Can I borrow him for a little while? Just kidding.

I know about the exhaustion. Will post this evening’s events on my blog this weekend (hopefully) also.

Helped in the building of Noah’s Ark. 😉

Oh! Shame on me…Happy three decades on the 30th! I am just a couple years beyond that mark.

    Many blessings to you!
